Voice Biometrics Integrated with IVR Systems

The $2.8 billion Desert Schools FCU in Phoenix recently announced their plans to use a voice biometrics solution for 24/7 password resets for online banking, as well as authentication for transfers. DesertSchools FCU stated that they were attracted to the voice biometrics solution because it allows them to verify someone’s identity remotely through an IVR.

While utilizing voice biometrics for authentication in the banking industry is certainly one way organizations can improve business efficiencies, other organizations need to look outside the box of how voice biometrics are typically used to see how this emerging technology can be leveraged for their industries. For the purposes of an identification tool, voice biometrics technology coupled with a capable IVR system can provide endless possibilities for innovative IVR voice applications. Interact has taken these endless possibilities and worked with our customers to integrate voice biometrics with our IVR systems to create intelligent voice applications utilizing voice biometrics technology. With Interact’s customized IVR application approach, we have been able to work with governments in third world countries to create a parolee tracking application using voice biometrics and location based services, to organizations whose sensitive work requires an application to verify and employee’s identity working in off-site locations.

As the advancement in voice biometrics technology continues to surge, organizations looking to leverage voice biometrics for their day to day operations will need an application provider with the experience and ability to customize a solution tailored to fit their exact needs. Interact, with our experience and capable IVR solutions, can deliver both realistic and affordable methods for companies looking to enhance security, while at the same time providing a reduction in costs associated with using customer service for verification.
